Hailing from Northern Minnesota, Kison (real name Kim Swanson) is surprisingly becoming known not only for her natural singing ability, but her songwriting as well. Kison (KEE-SIN) was born in 1984, in the small town of Warren. Growing up on a farm, one would assume her genre to be country; on the contrary, her sound can be described as Teena Marie meets Adele, with a touch of Classical influence.
