Prevailing over these hurdles have molded Kidd Cane Charlie Chainz into the artist and man he is today. His career began in junior high school after witnessing the ups and downs through a frustrated childhood after losing his father at the age of six and raising himself until he was 12 years old. Kidd Cane began freestyling during class passing time with his classmates. His peers started noticing his god given talent and it fueled Kidd Cane to pursue music even more. The name Kidd Cane has a very symbolic meaning, “I was raised in a drug house so-to-say I was always around cocaine as a kid and the only way to move forward in life is to know where you have been so I remind myself everyday where I have been, you can say I use it as my daily motivation to succeed in everything I do.” Besides from being musically talented, he is also athletically gifted. Kidd Cane currently plays college basketball for Bemidji State University where he is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management. Kidd Cane brings several aspects to music. Not only does he have street smarts and credibility, he also has book smarts. Kidd Cane is the total package with a story like no other that will amaze you with his courage to proceed in life after so many hardships. He is ready to show the world what the next generation of Hip-Hop has to offer, “So make room in the music industry I got next!”
