Kevin Atwater

Kevin Atwater is a singer-songwriter based in New York City. Taking piano and clarinet lessons as a kid and teaching himself guitar over the years, Kevin has surrounded himself with music his whole life. After finishing college, Kevin focused on his emerging acting career, which was ultimately put on hold when the pandemic hit. As a result, he turned to songwriting for his mode of creative expression and began making his own music in his apartment inspired by his idols (Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Clairo, Phoebe Bridgers).

In early 2022, Kevin started posting himself playing his music online and almost immediately built a fanbase around his uniquely honest songwriting, garnering millions of views and support from a wide range of prominent artists and songwriters. The music Kevin makes challenges ideas of traditional masculinity, making no attempts at hiding his sexuality in his lyrics. He writes queer music with no hesitation or shame.
