Kai Warrior

Kai Warrior is a singer-songwriter from Albuquerque, New Mexico! While growing up, she spent her time singing along to the Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber classics on her pink CD player and realized she hummed a bit more than her peers. Her youth consisted of events like talent shows, play rehearsals, recitals, and choir competitions. Somewhere between the braveness of childhood and the impending doom that adolescence met her with, she found uncomfortability and shame in feelings she couldn’t express, which led to her staring into her empty diary pages and writing what she truly felt. Fast forward many years of suppression, truth, and casually changing the words to her favorite songs to fit her circumstances better, she realized she could just write her own! While in isolation like the rest of the world in 2020, she bought a guitar for $20 off of a friend and has tried to be emotionally honest with herself since.
