Ka-Chi

Singer songwriter Ka-Chi has been performing his signature “Soul Liberty” music starting in the Baltimore/Washington DC area in 2004. The Nigerian born singer songwriter weaves insightful lyrics over groovy acoustic guitar rhythms that link his West African roots to contemporary Western styles. The resulting music is an urban folk/world music soundscape. Lyrical dexterity is his underlying strength, and the infectious rhythms keep your feet moving.

His music has taken him through a tour of the east coast and mid west and out to the San Francisco bay area during which time he has independently recorded and released two albums. The first, a 5 song EP titled Soul Liberty – Demo Sessions and then the follow up release Come on Home, which reached the number 2 spot on the charts of CMJ member radio stations. Ka-Chi has recently relocated to the Twin Cities area and is now #1 on Reverbnation’s singer songwriter chart for Minneapolis as he builds a solid local fan base.
