John P. Strohm began his career in the music industry as an artist, playing in the popular alternative rock bands Blake Babies and The Lemonheads, along with extensive production and session work. Strohm changed direction when he attended law school and became an entertainment lawyer in 2004.
He practiced law for 213 years, focusing on artist representation, primarily at the firm of Loeb & Loeb, LLP, in its Nashville office. His artist clients included Bon Iver, Alabama Shakes, Sturgill Simpson, Phoebe Bridgers, and many others. In 2017 Strohm left law practice to join Concord Music as President of its Rounder Records imprint.
