JOHN DUNGEY

Influenced by Hip Hop, Jazz, Blues and the early foundations of Rock ‘n’ Roll, JOHN DUNGEY seeks to push past the cookie cutter lyricism, and explore new ways to approach music. JOHN DUNGEY started writing poetry in grade school, and easily transitioned into the world of writing lyrics. Sharpening his tongue in freestyle ciphers, and battles, JOHN DUNGEY built a solid reputation as an MC. In high school JOHN DUNGEY was a leading light; heading the basketball team, a favorite amongst the staff, and a budding actor in training. Studying in St. Paul Central’s exceptional theater program, he was able to develop the enigmatic stage presence that is visible today. Pulling from all facets of life has made Jay Quest the man he is today.

JOHN DUNGEY made his first recording with Facility president, and C.E.O., Saun Stewart in 2000. In 2008, he began working with Tek of Scheme Team recording several tracks, and performing in various venues in the Twin cities. Currently John has signed to Last Triumph, and as of early 09’ is working on his debut album. As JOHN DUNGEY preps for the moment his debut LP drops, you can see, and feel the intensity of a man ready to pounce of the music industry. JOHN DUNGEY’s current goal is to pursue his passion for music with the expectations that dreams become reality only through pursuit, and diligence.
