Genre is not so much a box to be confined in as it is a bag of tricks for Brooklyn-based musician/animator Jhariah to pull from. The multi-disciplinary artist has a compulsion for writing larger than life songs, stacked high with strings, horns, keys, and broadway-esque vocal arrangements.

In BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO FAKING YOUR DEATH, a story about being hunted and faking his death, Jhariah engages with his constant worry that he’ll fall behind in life if he takes too much time to rest. The EP (includes: “Flight of the Crows”, “Debt Collector”, and “BAD LUCK!”) continues to build a mysterious world that is impossible to ignore, and forever unfolding.
