Juno nominee Jenn Grant, has released four albums to her name. Her most recent, and first US released record, The Beautiful Wild, is a depart from the giddy blush of her previous album Honeymoon Punch, and won for ECMA POP Recording of the year. On this album, her prismatic, iridescent voice continues to sparkle over adventurous layers of harp, sitar and flute. Grant’s intuitive ability to express emotion has helped to define her as one of Canada’s premiere vocalists.
Jenn Grant is a lively member of her East Coast Community. Her latest release featuring performances by Rose Cousins, Old Man Leudecke, and 41 members of The Halifax Boys Honor Choir. Recently, a new side project titled AquaAlta, has been revealed which is a recording project and collaboration between Charles Austin (Superfriendz) and Graeme Campbell. Known for their co production on several Buck 65 albums, on which Grant co wrote several songs with Buck 65, including Paper Airplane. A Graduate of NSCAD, she studied painting, drawing and sculpture. She has performed across North America, Europe, Japan and Australia, but resides in Nova Scotia, where she continues to write music and paint, and is currently writing her fifth album.
