Jason Walsmith of The Nadas

Jason Walsmith is based in Des Moines, Iowa. He is well traveled and always looking for a new story to tell. Jason has spent the last 30 years touring North America in the band, The Nadas, as well as taking photographs for publications and companies all over the world.

Jason also has a solo album called, Overlander, and has been touring in his Storyteller Overland camper van playing hundreds of shows in the US and Mexico for the past few years. The Jason Walsmith Storyteller “I’ll Play Anywhere Man”  tour has had Jason performing in backyards, beaches, boats, farms, ranches, and stages in over 40 states. The album "Overlander" had 3 songs chart in the top 10 of the European American Country Music Chart in 2022.

In 2023, Jason recorded and released a new record with his band The Nadas with songs written with his long time Nadas co-founder Mike Butterworth and producer Alex Dezen. The Nadas played nearly 50 shows in and around the midwest with other stops in Colorado, California, and Arizona.

2024 brings more songwriting, touring, and performing. More storytelling, picture taking, and spending time with his wife Emma, two nearly grown children Mitchell and Roan, five dogs, five cats, and three alpacas on their fairytale property just outside of Earlham, Iowa.
