James Hammer is a techno producer and DJ from Minneapolis, Minneasota USA. He started DJing in 1996 and has played the party and club scene in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Denver and Canada. In 2005 James started producing the same kind of straight forward pure techno he enjoyed playing out. Since then he has produced quality techno for labels such as Relief Records, Naked Lunch, Mixtape Records, Reldz Recordings, Sonic Mind Records, and Dirty Planet Records. Throughout this James has worked closely with his friends and producers, JC, Roman Zawodny, and Jerome Baker, with whom he released an EP under the moniker Bangers & Nash on Dobox Recordings. James Hammer's releases have been supported and charted by Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Dave Clarke, Apaul and many others. Dave Clarke has been a constant supporter of James' records on his WhiteNoise Radio show in Amsterdam. Hammer's tracks are the ones that ring through your head after the party. That's because James' no-nonsense philosophy when it comes to producing is " keep it simple " spills over into his unassuming personal style. With several high-profile releases and remixes in the works, James' tracks will continue to energize dance floors for years to come. James hits hard with heavyweight electro and techno flavors, which he describes as "relentless." His dictum is to" never compromise". He is always pushing the boundaries of musical expression, finding new ways to reach out to listeners.
