JABON

Jabon is an attempt to present musical ideas, sounds, image and performance that is designed to entertain. It's one thing to write a love song and get on stage to perform it on acoustic guitar. That's been done a thousand times. To open up a new channel or to channel something old into something new...that's what Jabon is. Jabon is dark ambient avant garde disco comedy. The music can stand on it's own for those that want to listen. The number of people that actually listen is dwindling as we speak. Nevertheless, the music is presented for those that want to hear it. In the current music and art climate, the public performance is key to the success of the artist. People want entertainment. Jabon is entertaining. The combination of surreal sounds, familiar rhythmns, abstract films, costumes, parlor tricks, lights, cameras, action! That's entertainment. No matter your mood and no matter your mood alteration, Jabon has something to give. It's provoking, tickles the senses and poses the question: "Is Jabon just a bunch of noise?"
