J. Michelle Caldwell, a native of St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a versatile classically trained singer, excelling in Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Gospel. She has toured nationally as a lead and background singer, recording with prominent Minnesota artists, and has performed in major repertory theater productions across Minnesota and Georgia. A recipient of a full Vocal Music Scholarship to Knoxville College, J. Michelle trained under Ruth Stokes and Dr. Everett McCorvey, building her career as a performer, music director, educator, and radio announcer. She has shared the stage with stars like Ray Charles, Michael Bolton, Shirley Witherspoon, Christopher Williams, The Steeles, and Palmer Williams, Jr. (of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne). Beyond her extensive career, she remains active in church music ministry and recently released her debut EP, Can You Relate. Her passions include songwriting, reading, and cherishing time with family, with the ultimate goal of inspiring others through her music.
