In the Company of Serpents

Founded in 2011, IN THE COMPANY OF SERPENTS traffic in sonic catharsis. Fiercely DIY in their ethics, that band has self-released four LPs, one EP, and one Single since their inception. Their music inhabits the strange fringes between sludge metal and sprawling spaghetti western scores, constantly conjuring visceral power and raw intensity, contrasted with eerie, spare instrumental passages. Their 2020 release, LUX, garnered widespread praise, and was the only independent release to be featured on Decibel Magazine’s annual Top 40 records of the year. Their fifth LP, A Crack in Everything, will be released in June 2025, and is their most powerful work to date.
