San Diego, CA’s Idlehands has signed to Headphone Music, an Equal Vision Records imprint. The experimental indie-rock quintet has also recently premiered a music video for “Mellow Christ” featuring Justin Bonifacio of Ghost Parade. The song originally appeared on a split 7” with Ghost Parade and will also be featured on Idlehands‘ debut full-length album, which will be released later this year. The new album was recorded in Portland, OR with producer Kris Crummett (A Lot Like Birds, Closure In Moscow), and is the follow-up to the band’s 2013 EP, Common Soul.
Along with releasing “Mellow Christ” as our new music video, we are so excited to be announcing our signing to Headphone Music / Equal Vision Records,” shares Idlehands’ vocalist Johnny O’Hagan. “We will be joining a great team of artists, from both past and present. This has been a step we have been working towards for quite some time. We anticipate a bright future with our new home at Headphone Music and Equal Vision Records!” Idlehands is comprised of Johnny O’Hagan (vocals), Michael Brekka (guitar), Seancarlo Ohlin (guitar), Phil Di Raffaele (drums), and Isaac White (bass).
