HotDish is both a collaborative of djs (Nate Laurence & J. Matthews) and a Minneapolis-based event crew. HotDish values the diversity of EDM in the Midwest, yet it is our aim to provide a space for – above all else – house music in the Twin Cities, which has historically been displaced by the thinning culture of our region. As an event, HotDish showcases talent that is pioneering and unifying – both local and international icons of this genre!
Our past events hosted some of the best house parties in the Twin Cities throughout 2006 to the present - with the likes of Derrick Carter, Jesse Saunders, Terry Mullan, Justin Long, Stacey Kidd, Lady D, Jonn Hawley, Alexander East, Chuck Love, Frankie J, Demitri Max, Jason Hodges, amongst many...many others. Your HotDish hosts include Nate Laurence (a rave-era veteran, intoxicating DJ, and one of the most highly sought after talents in the international new-school underground house music scene - on high profile labels such as InStereo, Guesthouse Music, and Mintravel Recordings) and J. Matthews (a Twin Cities "beatopia" original and Boston staple who showcased his talents at high-profile venues including First Avenue, Quest, and the long-running "Bump" at the Phoenix Landing in Boston, MA.).
