Hey Anna

Sisters Anna, Katie, and Erin Rauch-Sasseen spent their youth moving from Northern California to Kansas City to coastal New Jersey, with occasional periods of time overseas. Along the way they soaked up a caravan’s worth of musical influence. Records by The Beach Boys, Michael Jackson, The Roches, Indigo Girls, No Doubt, James Taylor and Ella Fitzgerald were mainstays growing up.

While the twins (Anna & Katie) and Erin have been making music together since infancy, they officially started Hey Anna in 2010 as an acoustic folk-trio. Matthew Langner accompanies the sisters on drums, bringing his own set of influences that helps transform Hey Anna’s sound into the punchy, alternative indie music it is today. Jamie DiTringo recently joined the band on lead guitar. Hey Anna makes music that is influenced by the urban landscape and the ocean. They try to greet the cacophony of the metropolis with the warmth of a summer day by the sea.
