The official Herschel "Out Of My System" music video has received 350,000 YouTube views and counting since its release on February 12, 2012. “I wrote 'Out of My System' while I was getting over an ex. It’s awesome that people have embraced the music and my sound. I describe it as super pop on steroids! One guy said to me, ‘If Prince, Black Eyed Peas, and Sean Paul had a musical ménage a trois; the end result would be this song.’ I’m super stoked by the public’s reaction, because music is my life. I’m just trying to share what I do with the world.”

Herschel sings, raps, and chats (Caribbean patois) with musical influences ranging from Otis Redding, Etta James, and Bob Marley to the likes of The Notorious B.I.G., Fiona Apple, and Nirvana. Herschel often cites Biggie’s Ready To Die album as the reason he decided to pick up the microphone. “I was bumping Biggie on the city bus during my commute to middle school. He made you want to rap. He was truly the greatest to ever do it.” Herschel is also a model and actor, and can be seen in national and international ad campaigns & commercials for Sony, Macy’s, Xbox, Target, Aveda, Apple, Risata Moscato D’asti, Best Buy and Volkswagen among others.
