While California-based hardcore pioneers (hed) p.e. have enjoyed successful albums, and even registered a Top 30 Modern Rock single, they are now embraced as one of the top underground acts on the independent scene. “When I first started making records, I was mostly writing party music, and some subject matter with social commentary,” says frontman Jared, referring to his formative years in the music industry. “I never dreamt that I would one day be in a band that actually has a divine purpose.” The purpose to which Jared refers is what is commonly referred to as “The Truth Movement.”

“Now that (hed) p.e. has developed mentally and spiritually into what we are today, we find that the underground youth are rallying around us. (Hed) p.e. is focused and crystal clear. It feels special to be involved in a band that actually stands for something.” Since joining the Suburban Noize stable in 2006, (hed) p.e. has enjoyed a rebirth of grand proportions. After a series of releases with major labels that stifled the band’s creativity, (hed) p.e. has been embraced by an underground movement that celebrates the musical melting pot that their music exemplifies. The group has created a dedicated following by opening sold-out tours for Tech N9ne, Kottonmouth Kings and Papa Roach, as well as selling out venues across the country and overseas on their own headlining tours.
