Guthrie Brown is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist based out of Nashville, TN. Originally hailing from Montana, Guthrie moved to Music City in January 2012 to pursue a career in music at the age of 17.
Since 2012, Guthrie has released multiple EPs, had a publishing deal with BMG working with producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, James Bay, Norah Jones). He has also opened for artists such as Jonny Lang, Elle King, The War And Treaty, David Ryan Harris, Rich Robinson (of The Black Crowes), and Willie Nelson.
Guthrie’s song ‘Wild Child’ was featured on Spotify’s ‘Wild and Free’ playlist, racking up over 2.1 million streams. In 2023, Guthrie co-founded “Nashville Songwriting Supergroup Rock Band”, Heavy Quitters. Heavy Quitters comprises Guthrie Brown, J.R. Wyatt, John McNally, and Shawn Conerton (Father Sunn).
Recently, Guthrie has been writing and recording with producer/songwriter/engineer Reid Leslie. Together, they have written and produced Guthrie’s upcoming EP, Hollywood Moon. Guthrie and Reid have also co-written songs with artist Avi Kaplan. Guthrie will be joining Avi Kaplan as the opening act throughout Avi’s 2025 summer tour.
