Griff is the multi-faceted modern pop star where normal rules need not apply. Born and raised in Kings Langley, she started making music early in her teens, quickly realizing - whether through her Chinese-Jamaican roots or her all-encompassing approach (spanning songwriting, production, fashion, and design) - that she was different. From day one, Griff’s learning curve has proved similarly sideways: her second ever gig was winning the BRIT Award for Rising Star, with hits like 'Black Hole' and lockdown mixtape One Foot In Front of The Other rocketing her to pop stardom whilst stuck in her bedroom. When finally able to see the world, she did so on tour with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Florence + the Machine, Coldplay, and even shared a bag of chips backstage with Taylor Swift. Griff kickstarted her debut album era with its emotive title track, 'Vertigo', a roller-coaster of a record about the disorientation of those early twenties. And it's a journey of self-discovery Griff has taken fans on ever since, building the three volumes of her landmark project in real-time (continuing with existential banger, 'Miss Me Too'). A coming-of-age album shaped for complex times, vertigo witnesses Griff scaling new creative heights without compromising the hand-stitched, home-made magic that's long marked her out as British Pop’s most exciting outlier.
