God Johnson is from the polar north country of Minnesota where the winters are long and the coats are thick. It's a volatile climate where a band of men came together in 2003 to write four albums worth of great original midwest music. God Johnson music brings out the common deity that dwells in all of us and the eternal conflict between our righteous and sinful nature, or you could also just say it's a great band that rages tunes hard for kids to get down in full boogie.
God Johnson plays high energy rock shows for people to dance, party, and get a little crazy. They've done full on, note-for-note tributes to Bands/Albums such as Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones, Stop Making Sense by the Talking Heads, and Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy. The band is known for its live "rawkshows", dynamic jamming and creative and inspiring songwriting by keyboardist Tim Carrow. God Johnson also was known as the house band at the Cabooze nightclub in Minneapolis for over four years.
