Future Fossils Is a new breed, a new species of yesterdays self. Old souls trying to grasp the unknown to determine the future. Composed of 3 rappers (Elijah Fhima, Sam Wayne and Jordan Lapping). Future Fossils isn't all that new though, it all started in 2010 when Kids Like Us decided to abandon the norm and carve out a path specific to their own.
5 years later the evolution begins with more bass orientated beats, 808 rhythms and self inflicted angsty raps that still make your mother bask in fear of the Millennial generation. A delicate and experimental transition from youth to a playful adulthood makes Future Fossils bleed forbidden stories of their past and chant their kaleidoscope dreams. The trio emerged from the divorce of Kids Like Us and an irresistible itch for new beginnings. Key member Elijah Fhima will be residing in Israel this upcoming winter in attempt to glance at other perspectives of life and to be closer to his family. This makes for a very interesting dynamic while Sam Wayne and Jordan Lapping hold down the home turf back home in Minneapolis.
We expect Future Fossils to be a rare live performance and potentially a name coming out the mouth of Middle Eastern Hip Hop fanatics. The group's debut EP titled Modern Antiques includes features from Chicago based Alex Wiley, and hometown heroes Muja Messiah, Big Zack and Toki Wright, while also including up and coming rappers Nazeem and JudaBoi. Also "Modern Antiques" includes production from Beak Nasty and Texas native Nick Lewis (worked previously with The Underachievers). The sounds coming from these guys will inebriate your soul and draw you closer to the link minded youth left for dead by apathetic superiors. Future Fossils in not the future it is now.
