Finish Ticket

Being a Finish Ticket fan has been quite the rollercoaster ride. Indeed, it’s the same feeling being IN the band - peaks and valleys, a whirlwind of highs and lows. From a steady rise within their local San Francisco scene, picking up speed as they began selling out every show in the Bay Area, they were suddenly propelled to the national stage when they inked a deal with Atlantic Records. Whirring through three years and three hundred shows supporting their self-released debut album, Tears You Apart, and the label-backed When Night Becomes Day EP, touring with the likes of Twenty One Pilots, AWOLNATION, and Ed Sheeran — they established themselves as a headline act across North America. With a reputation for an exhilarating live show and lyrics that cut to the heart, Finish Ticket developed a devoted fanbase that latched on to the ideals of the band - honesty, passion, an emotional openness to the rollercoaster of life that is made easier when we help each other through it.

Then the ride came to a halt. After a fruitless few months of recording under external pressures to be something they have never been, Finish Ticket was dropped from their label and left to pick up the pieces. As they began to build themselves back up again, they embarked on a successful headline run in 2019 across the US, selling out multiple shows led by their comeback single “Dream Song,” which racked up millions of plays completely on its own. The ride was moving, the coaster careening back upwards. More shows were scheduled for 2020.

Another drop. This time, along with the rest of the world. As they waited for a chance to return safely to the scene, they signed with Better Noise Records and took the time to work on their second full-length album, due out in 2023. It is an immensely personal record, diving deep into themes of isolation, depression, love lost and found, and hope for a future where kindness is easier to come by. While they’ve teased a few songs in snippets online, the ride is ready to take off in full swing at the start of next year. And high or low, they’ll be there for you to ride alongside.
