Dylan Jakobsen

Dylan Jakobsen isn’t your typical country boy. He didn’t grow up on a farm and he doesn’t drink. Raised outside of Seattle, WA his love of country music stemmed from artists like Church, Stapleton & Petty whose lyrics helped him find his voice as a writer and shape his career. “I don’t want to just be another one of many. I’m here to prove that this is where I’m supposed to be.” Though you won’t see him onstage without an acoustic in hand, Dylan has spent the last decade learning over 10 instruments to write all of the parts you hear on his albums.

By 2016 Dylan had found himself touring the US & living out of more hotels than he could remember. Summers were spent playing festivals and fairs while the colder months were being booked on small club runs. On off days he was in the studio recording his debut album [From Where I Began] and getting ready to release his first single to country radio. “Silverado” soon became a fan favorite and in turn, climbed the charts garnering Dylan his first Top 50 single as an independent artist on Music Row. His work ethic was starting to show and new opportunities were opening up for Dylan.

In January of 2017 Dylan was named “One of 10 New Country Artists to Watch” by The Boot, which came weeks after Dylan had been invited to perform as a featured artist at Buckle & Boots in England. Since then, Dylan released follow up single “Lovers Ledge”, did a full UK headliner tour, has been a support artist on dates with Eli Young Band, Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson, LOCASH, Chase Rice & more, and is currently back in the studio recording his sophomore album.

“The next release is really special to me. We titled it ‘I AM’ and it really incorporates who I am to myself & every one around me. The stories resonate true to me in my own life, but are also the stories I hear so many times from y’all. We’re taking just a little bit of extra time on it to get it right but I am very excited to start showing you the pieces of who I am.”
