Duenday (pronounced Dwen-day) is a Twin Cities hip-hop group consisting of the rapper/producers Initial MC and In2Wishin and DJ Gabe Garcia. Formed in 2005 in South Minneapolis, Duenday has made a name for themselves in the past few years performing around the Midwest and appearing at numerous summer music festivals such as Soundset 2011, Bella Music Fest, Prairie Grass, and New Autumn. Duenday released their first full-length album in November 2010 to local critical acclaim, and has become well known in the Twin Cities for their energetic and often wild live shows. Opening for such acts as Talib Kweli, De La Soul, Pac Div, Ok Go, Prof, Chris Webby, DJ Abilities and More Than Lights, Duenday continues to build momentum and influence in the hip-hop scene.
