Drew Janda

Drew Janda was born at Fairview Southdale hospital in Edina, MN. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis and went to college at Columbia College Chicago. He graduated from both the Second City Comedy Studies program and the Second City Conservatory. He lived in LA for three years where he studied improv at the Groundlings theatre, began performing as a stand-up comedian, and ran a stand-up comedy showcase called “The Casual” at a record store in Los Feliz.

In 2014, he moved back to Minnesota because he ran out of money. Currently he is one of four producers of the critically-lauded Boy Kisses Comedy Showcase in Minneapolis along with fellow comics Turner Barrowman, Collin Klug, and Robert Fones. He is also a producer of the Minneapolis “10,000 Laughs” stand-up comedy festival. He can be seen performing stand-up comedy at venues across the midwest. You can see him hosting Minneapolis’s “Thursday Night Joke Fight,” a comedy roast-battle, the fifth Thursday of every month at the Comedy Corner Underground.
