DJ XEL

DJ XEL is no stranger to electronic dance culture. This native Chicagoan started mixing old-skool funk and soul records at the age of 14. During the early years, DJ XEL teamed up with DJ Magic to rock house parties on the North Side of Chicago and later partnered with “the one and only DJ Sandy” to bring the Chicago and UK house sound to Florida as a resident DJ at Late Night Library and on 101.5 WXSR FM radio.

27 years later, DJ XEL is still rockin the Wheels of steel, spinning acid jazz, deep house, jacking house and everything in between, finding creative ways to bring music and people together. After a recent relocation to Minneapolis, DJ XEL has teamed up with Richy Rivera to play together under the name Deep Grooves, as well as throwing parties under the name SideStream Productions.
