The ultimate man about Funkytown, the charismatic DJ Cowboy made a name for himself throughout the '80s & '90s playing across the Twin Cities, from Studio 94 and the Oz in St. Paul to the other side of the river, where he rocked William's Pub, Gatsby's and Discotrec with Jimmy Jam, among other clubs including First Av, where he was a repeat guest DJ at More Funk. He orchestrated the area's first breakdance contests, in 1982 at Coffman Union at the U of M and in 1984 at the St. Paul Civic Center.
During this electrifying chapter in Minneapolis music, Cowboy was among Flyte Tyme's inner circle, appearing on Cherrelle's "You Look Good To Me" and assisting groove masters Jam & Lewis under the radar. Prince later tapped him for his international Nude Tour as his first tour DJ. Cowboy now travels the country as DJ/promoter/Emcee under the banner of his Hidden Agenda Entertainment. And he can be seen flexing his acting chops on NBC's Grimm, ABC's Final Witness and other network TV series.
