Divide and Dissolve

Divide and Dissolve is the instrumental band of Black & Cherokee artist Takiaya Reed. Comprised of guitar, soprano saxophone, and drums that focus intentionally on Indigenous sovereignty and Black liberation. Pitchfork have referred to her music as tectonic metal that is inherently political. Gas Lit (2021) + Systemic (2023) are the most recent records produced by Ruban Nielson. Divide and Dissolve have recently supported Chelsea Wolfe on her North American tour with critical acclaim.
