Dave B is a multi-talented artist who raps, sings, writes and produces. The Seattle musician organically blends elements of hip-hop, R&B, jazz and funk alongside conscious-driven lyrics, soulful melodies and sweet-sounding production. His versatility can be attributed to vast musical inspirations: gospel icons Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin; hip-hop luminaries Andre 3000, Missy Elliott, and Kanye West; R&B songstresses Aaliyah and Erykah Badu; jazz legend Thelonious Monk; and rock god Jimi Hendrix.

In 2015, he released his debut project Punch Drunk EP. Early supporters 2Dopeboyz called the music “remarkably exceptional” while DJ Booth declared him “a revolutionary.” In 2016, he released his collaboration Tomorrow LP with producer Sango via NPR First Listen and more critical-acclaim poured in from Pigeons & Planes, HotNewHipHop, Okayplayer and more. And in 2017, his album Pearl gained support from Pitchfork “naturally melodic” [Scrolling] and Complex “he’s a leading voice for The Town” [Sweetest Thing]. While Seattle Weekly crowned him “Seattle’s most endearing young rapper” and Seattle Times gushed he’s one of “Seattle’s brightest hip-hop talents.”

Dave B’s electric live performances have sold-out venues across his hometown including The Neptune (1000 cap) and Neumos (650 cap) and in June 2019 he headlined The Showbox (1250 cap). Macklemore and Ryan Lewis invited Dave to open their show at the Key Arena for This Unruly Mess I’ve Made Tour. After appearing on Macklemore’s album Gemini, he asked Dave to join him on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon alongside Travis Thompson and DJ Premier. And last year, Dave B was the direct support on the Gemini World Tour. On June 7, Dave B released his sophomore album, BLEU.
