D-Spawn

Derek Turner aka D-Spawn started out as a b-boy (break dancer) first before becoming an M.C. & one of the founding members of the hip-hop group Atmosphere. He also helped to birth a new emergence of M.C.'s coming out of the Midwest area with a style that has caught on worldwide by just being himself. D-Spawn has opened up hip-hop shows for a slew of today and yesterday's top ranking groups like RUN DMC, A Tribe Called Quest and the hieroglyphics crew and has two solo albums under his belt, The Present (2001) and Timeless (2005), under the alias Rek The Heavyweight.
