CRAIG FINN and TAD KUBLER from THE HOLD STEADY

[Craig] Finn and [Tad] Kubler’s relationship stretches back to Minneapolis in the 1990s, back to when they were in the storied local band Lifter Puller, known throughout the hermetic Twin Cities scene as one of the best and most debauched underground acts around. After Lifter Puller dissolved, Finn relocated to New York in September of 2000 at the tail end of dot-com boom front-end of NYC indie rock boom courtesy of bands like the Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Interpol. While everyone else tried on Television and Joy Division, the Hold Steady dug up Thin Lizzy. [Pitchfork]
