Cheval Sombre

One man-band Cheval Sombre emerged in the early 2000s, writing and recording songs in a studio apartment on the Hudson River, NY. After sending demos to Sonic Boom, a recording session took place in 2006, supported by guest musicians Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips which resulted in his debut self-titled album released on Double Feature records. He previously released three 7” singles 'It’s A Shame/Little Bit of Heaven,' 'I Found It Not So/Where Did Our Love Go' and 'I Sleep.' In 2012, Trensmat released his fourth single, 'Couldn’t Do/As Tears Go By' and his second album Mad Love was released on November 5 on the Sonic Cathedral label.
