Kokou Kah grew up in Minnesota, but can still hear the Liberian bounce and soul in their music. Kokou writes from their experience as an immigrant, abandoned in a racialized society, searching for love and success. Kah adds an alternative taste to hip hop with their r&b melodies and afro cadences that keep their audience dancing, accompanied by their backing band Cazual Citizens.
