Caustic Abyss

When the winter sets in darkness arrives, but with the cold comes rebirth. The flow of creativity never ceases in the halls of Minneapolis. Caustic Abyss is not only fitting a moniker from what the group creates, but the album Eternal Winter Crypt (2025) is a statement of where the musicians reside.

The group came together as long time friends organically, with this finally being the opportunity to create together. Will Maravelas (Plague of Stars, Ex-Coffin Rites, Ex-We are Legion) was able to handpick several prominent Minnesota Veterans to form the group. Casey Harris (Ex-Coffin Rites, Ex-Echoes of the Fallen) has once again been brought on to play bass. Long-time friends and previous band members guitarist Nathanael Ashwood (Echoes of the Fallen, Ex-Promidal) and vocalist Alex Gorgos (Grand Demise of Civilization, Ex-Echoes of the Fallen, Ex-Ghost Hook) were natural choices to bring into the fray! Drummer Brett Barrett (Imaginaerum, Ex-Portraits of War, Ex-Bury the Silence) has joined with the group to complete the lineup and bring the technicality needed to bring the instrumentals to life.
