A force to be reckoned with in the worlds of music, acting and philanthropy, Caitlin Crosby brings a more a sophisticated and smoky sound to her most recent release Save that Pillow. Produced and co-written with Boots Ottestad (Robbie Williams, Macy Gray) the music is a marked departure from her 2009 release, Flawz, and provides Crosby the opportunity to display her love of the retro-soul and folk revivalism in her songs. Crosby’s underlying message of self acceptance and embracing a person’s flaws can not only be seen in the lyrics of her music but also through her two other endeavors, The Giving Keys and Love Your Flawz. The Giving Keys uses jewelry made from vintage keys to help spread positive messages and helping participants transition out of homelessness while Love Your Flawz encourages visitors to celebrate their flaws rather than trying to live up to unattainable standards.
