Brutus VIII

Jackson Katz created Brutus VIII as a reaction to a decade safely in the background, drumming for LA indie rock bands. His second album Beyond Katz threw himself into an Escapist Art-Punk exploration of loneliness, exclusion, and—through jarring live performances to his cult following in LA—the absurdity of toxic masculinity. After relocating to New York City, Brutus VIII released two aggressive "dirty disco" one off singles "A Fucking Asshole" and "Group Vox". Both encapsulating some kind of warped upside down Gen X'er reality, where anger and fear seem to call the shots. Backed by interpretive dancer (Alena Henke) the live show proves itself to be a force to be reckoned with.
