Blood Root Mother is an aggressive rock sextet from central Minnesota. Drawing upon the vast array of influences that comes from having six collaborators and three singers, the band is a sharp, heavy diamond in the rough that sets itself apart from the current trends in hard rock music. Their current CD, Mystic Machine, is both emotional and cerebral, featuring lengthy rock and roll suites in the vein of dinosaurs like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Tool. The music might not always give you what you expect to hear, but it very well may compel you to pay attention and listen to it. To quote a phrase coined in a recent interview with the band, "Blood Root Mother is a f@#k load of sound".
