New York City's Constantine Anastasakis presents the debut EP from his musical project, Blonder, set for a late September 2016 release. Recorded between New York and LA, EP1 utilizes sonic and lyrical dualities as means of passively graphing the highs and "lows of a void and voracious romance. Romantic narratives of mainstay indie rock are relit in a light self-determined "coolness" while instrumentation from 80s New Wave is employed against Constantine's self-assured voice to create a sense of personal and sonic nostalgia.
Recorded with Kevin Augunas (Cold War Kids, Edward Sharpe) at the former Sound City Studios, now Fairfax Recording, EP1 features writing and production from friends of Constantine's including Waylon Rector (Kitten), Caleb Shreve (Phantogram, Tegan and Sara), Brian Lee (Fifth Harmony, KYGO) and Aaron Maine (Porches). EP1 is due out in early 2017.
