Some Thing for No Thing is the second EP release from Minneapolis natives blinds. The record was a hands-on homage to the lo-fi nature of the early 90’s grunge scene all while using modern influences from Kings of Leon to Interpol.
After a successful debut EP release in December 2015 (covered by The Current and City Pages), blinds used their momentum to play several summer festivals, tour the midwest, and record a follow up EP. Their latest record, Some Thing for No Thing, debuted January 24, 2017. The first single, “Pretend Life” premiered on The Current Local Show.
blinds consists of Case Shannon (vocals/guitar) and Malcolm Browne (drums) both former members of The Set and bassist Garrison Grouse (Black Diet, What Tyrants) — each of whom are decade into the local music scene.
