Author & Punisher

Author & Punisher is a one-man band led by Tristan Shone. Utilizing custom fabricated machines, controllers, and speakers called Drone Machines, the music draws heavily on aspects of industrial automation, robotics, and mechanical tools and devices, focusing on the eroticism of the interaction with machine.

In 2024, A&P celebrated two decades of honing in on his craft - meticulously inventing, machining, experimenting, and creating custom musical instruments for his incredible recordings and live performances, touring the world with artists like TOOL, HEALTH, Pertubator, Neurosis, and many others. 2025 will see the release of his eighth full-length album via Relapse Records, along with an even greater emphasis and rebirth of the visceral, live ritual.
