Coming from a tiny town in Michigan where country and heavy metal reign supreme, Andrew Schook seemed destined to own a pickup truck and grow a mullet by his mid 20's. Thankfully, his move to Chicago in 2000 allowed him to discover the city's vibrant dance music scene and he honed his musical tastes at a superhuman rate. He soon befriended other purveyors of fine music, the NBFC, and he proceeded to help organize the NBFC's biweekly techno event "Etikett" which featured local and international talent. After Etikett's near two-year run, Antiphase has since successfully melted faces in Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Kalamazoo with impeccable taste, variety and unnerving charm. Antiphase is very fond of the minimal side of house and techno, Detroit techno, alien electro and dry raw dog acid. But you're also just as likely to hear some bassbin rattling techno and jackin' house cuts. His number one goal: provide a good time.
