You probably saw the blinding flash of lightning that lit up the global metal scene last year. Yeah, that was Gothenburg's AMARANTHE. In the current state of the music business, breaking it big like Amaranthe, from virtual unknowns to a household name on the international hard rock and metal scene within a course of just two years is no small feat. And contrary to the popular belief, this particular bolt does seem to hit the same place twice.

After a completed run of 92 live shows after the release of their eponymous Spinefarm debut, the sextet returned to Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark where the Amaranthe magic has been plucked from the air since the days of the debut album. Now the band is super stoked to present to the world their sophomore album, The Nexus Right from the outset it is clear that the impossibly infectious union of machine-gun heavy metal riffs, driving beats, contemporary influences, and glistening pop refrains made in high heaven returns with a vengeance, seeing every last aspect of the band’s trademark electro-influenced hybrid metal honed to shimmering perfection – melodies to die for, vocal interplay unparalleled, choruses you’d have to tear your head off to get rid of and the feel-good hits like of which you thought you’d never hear again.
