AJ Davila, the lead singer of the acclaimed garage rock band Dávila 666, released his debut solo album Terror/Amor on February 18 via Nacional Records. AJ Davila’s band Davila 666 has been celebrated at Pitchfork, Spin, Vice, NPR, The Onion, LA Times, Prefix, Brooklyn Vegan and supported at key radio stations including KEXP, KCRW, WFMU, WBUR and others. Time Magazine chose Davila 666 as one of the ‘Top 10 Best Bands at SXSW in 2011.’
Terror/Amor features collaborations with many of the biggest names in indie rock from across the Americas, including Cole Alexander (Black Lips), Alex Anwandter, Sergio Rotman (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs), Juan Cirerol and Fofe Abreu (Circo). On Terror/Amor, AJ Davila brings together the guitar-fuzz of ‘60s garage, the raw energy of 70’s punk and the irrepressibly catchy choruses of 80s pop.
