ACG3 aka THE GOAT

A. Coleman Greenhaw’s fascination with the musical world began at an early age after winning his first record player during a school carnival. He spent hours dancing to his mother’s 7″ single of the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” and was later absorbed by the music of Roger Waters and Jim Morrison. It was in these first moments of intrigue, when a child pieces together a self recognition through sound and the physical reaction that follows, that Coleman began to understand the fundamental elements of rhythm and dance. This connection reverberated into curiosity and Coleman developed an enduring desire to be inspired by sound.

After beginning to dj in 1996, Coleman became known as ‘The Goat’ for founding Digital Perceptions and hosting his own Techno Pagan Rituals. At these events he began to understand the important relationship between the listener and the performer and how they interact with one another. Given this platform for expression, he developed his dj skills in a rare live setting and slowly figured out how to expand the boundaries of his music and the crowd’s expectations. Over the years he has continued to aggrandize his performances and never fails to challenge the crowd both mentally and physically.

Inspired by the conception of his first son, Coleman developed the moniker ‘ACG3′. As ‘ACG3′ he proved capable of incorporating elements into his performances that wouldn’t have been associated with his earlier work. A more nourished performer had emerged, which allowed him to show a wider range of emotions and ultimately bring his listeners deeper into his psyche. Although ‘The Goat’ and ‘ACG3′ are synonymous with one another, having both aliases gives him the opportunity to show his unyielding character along side his abysmal introspection.
