3 Short Sets from H. Hawkline, rogov, and Josiah Steinbrick

"You may recognize Huw Gwynfryn Evans from playing guitar in Cate Le Bon’s band and White Fence. Huw makes his own music under the name H Hawkline and will release In The Pink Of Condition, his first album for Heavenly Recordings, on February 2. Cate produced the album (they are also a couple) and if you dig her distinctly Welsh brand of off kilter psych-pop, H Hawkline is clearly from the same mossy, skronky realm. (Syd Barrett and Jacco Gardner fans should also take note.)" -Brooklyn Vegan (Jan 2015)

"Who is this Rogov guy? Well this past summer, back when no one remembered what cold felt like and we imagined we'd ride bikes in short-shorts till death, we premiered Gregory Rogove's first solo track. Back then he was called HOOOPS, but then he had to change his name (for boring reasons), so now HOOOPS is Rogov, which you might notice is Greg's last name without the e. That's first of all. Second of all, this silver fox currently drums in Devendra Banhart's band, and in the past he's made music as Priestbird, Megapuss (with Banhart and The Strokes' Fab Moretti), collaborating with a ton of other cool people. But his solo steez is currently our hot topic." -Noisey (Nov 2016)

"Veteran producer Josiah Steinbrick has worked with Devendra Banhart, Danger Mouse, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, among others; he’s obviously comfortable behind the scenes, able to leave a stylistic imprint without a heavy hand. Though his latest project BANANA—an improvisational live band with Cate Le Bon, Stephen Black, Huw Evans, Josh Klinghoffer, and Stella Mozgawa—doesn’t bear his name, it certainly has his signature." -Bandcamp Daily (Feb 2017)
