The Current will wrap up the summer with a special edition #MicroShow at Fine Line on Tuesday, August 27. Sponsored by New Belgium Brewing and presented in partnership with American Public Media’s Live from Here, The Current’s upcoming #MicroShow will feature rare intimate performances by acclaimed mandolinist and Live from Here host Chris Thile, Twin Cities favorite Chastity Brown, and alt country/rock band Son Volt. Thile will perform a special solo acoustic set, followed by Minnesota’s own Brown with an acoustic folk performance. Son Volt — led by singer Jay Farrar — will wrap up the evening with a set featuring songs from the band’s newest album.
The Current will offer ticket giveaways both on-air and online for this one-of-a-kind performance. Use the form AT THIS LINK before noon on Sunday, August 18, 2019 to enter to win a pair of guest list spots to this #MicroShow.
Fifty (50) winners will receive two (2) guest list passes to The Current’s #MicroShow featuring Chris Thile, Chastity Brown, and Son Volt on August 27, 2019 at the Fine Line in Minneapolis, Minn. Ten (10) back up names will be drawn. Winners will be notified via email on Monday, August 19, 2019.
