Johnny Flynn, one of the UK’s premiere songwriting talents, will embark on a North American solo tour in January behind his lauded new album, Country Mile, out now via Transgressive. Country Mile blooms with touches of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Incredible String Band. For this record, Flynn drew from disparate sources like TS Eliot to Hank Williams, Einstein and Peruvian psych music. A modern renaissance man, Johnny’s music has earned praise from Rolling Stone’s David Fricke to NPR to USA Today. As an actor, he has appeared in Shakespeare plays at The Globe and he appears opposite Anne Hathaway in the upcoming 2014 film, Song One.
