Gay Witch Abortion, Flora, Buildings and more!

Show Starts

8PM

Ages

John Kuker was a generous supporter of the twin cities music scene; whether he was lending gear to fellow musicians, offering up his studio to bands, or sharing his immense knowledge of the recording process; creativity flowed from every part of him.

He first gave the Twin Cities, Seedy Underbelly – a world-class recording studio, in the heart of downtown Mpls., and more recently, spent 3 years, lovingly, and meticulously restoring the legendary Pachyderm Recording Studio, in Cannon Falls. Sadly, we lost John on February 2nd, 2015. John struggled with addiction and depression, yet still managed to touch so many lives, with his love of music, and bringing people together.

Join us for a celebration of his life and music, as friends and colleagues share songs and stories in his memory. The night features a set by Gay Witch Abortion, Flora, Jan, Buildings, The Social Distaster, and many other special guests. A portion of the proceeds will go to Dissonance, a program of McNally Smith College of Music, through the Student Life Center, now in conjunction with The Current and MPR. Dissonance was created to address the issues of addiction, depression and other mental health issues in the Creative Community. (Musicians, artists, writers, etc.)
